When faced with the challenge of trying to capture the "Magic of Midsummer" in an English country garden venturing out in a heavy rain shower is perhaps not the first choice for photography.

It was an image that came together very suddenly and unexpectedly but in exactly the right way. My thanks go to George’s mum for allowing me to enter this photograph in the competition. It remains in the running for the competition proper although it will be some months before I know how it fared.
